2010 NFL Draft Player Profile: Colt McCoy
Colt McCoy, QB, Texas
Weight: 210 lbs
Average 40 Time: 4.7
Projected Round: 2-3
Note: McCoy not throwing at NFL Combine.
McCoy is a a very good college quarterback that has thrived in a system that allowed him to make quick reads, good decisions, and use his feet when plays broke down.
He’ll have a learning curve at the next level, due to this fact, but his athleticism and natural abilities should leave no worries that he can’t make a quick transition to the next level.
Needless to say, McCoy is a sure-fire first rounder, as long as NFL scouts can look past his mediocre showing against Nebraska near the end of the season, as well as his injury in the BCS Championship game.
Teams who will target him: St. Louis, Cleveland, Seattle, Buffalo
