Adrian Peterson On Pace To Play In Preseason

Minnesota Vikings

Finally, some good news for the Minnesota Vikings, their fans, and fantasy football players everywhere.

Adrian Peterson says he is going to be back on the field soon. Like, season opener soon.

The All-Pro running back told Tom Pelissero of 1500ESPN.com that, after finally practicing in pads again, he believes he’ll be ready for the season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“Despite what everyone else had to say, that was my vision,” said Peterson. “I knew it was going to be a journey, a path, to get closer to that vision, and I’m closer.”

And Peterson, who is roughly seven and a half months removed from reconstruction surgery on his left knee, says that he is “looking forward to” his vision of playing in the season opener come true.

He and the team will continue to take the necessary procedures to make sure he stays healthy, and if he does, it’d be hard to see him not start come Week One.

Vikings fans and fantasy owners everywhere, cross your fingers.
