Anquan Boldin Out, Ravens to Pound the Rock in Week 16
According to Aaron Wilson via Twitter, Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Anquan Boldin will undergo knee surgery to repair a slightly torn meniscus.
The team expects him to miss the final two regular season games and return to the field in time for the playoffs. Torrey Smith operates as the number one receiver this week in Boldin’s absence, with the Ravens turning to their run game against the Cleveland Browns.
Pay no attention to Smith’s default promotion this week, as he’ll be blanketed all day by Joe Haden. The real story here is the extra rushing attempts both Ray Rice and Ricky Williams should get against a poor Browns defense they destroyed a few weeks ago. Rice is a top-three back this week, while Williams could crack the top-20 if the Ravens play with a lead late – as they should.
