Miami Dolphins Interested in Brett Favre?
According to Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Miami Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano hasn’t ruled out attempting to lure veteran quarterback Brett Favre out of retirement.
“I can’t rule anything out, ” said Sparano. “I’m giving you the only answer I can give you”.
After failing to land Denver Broncos quarterback via trade and only signing former Carolina Panthers quarterback Matt Moore as a potential upgrade, the Dolphins are scrambling for options other than incumbent starter, Chad Henne.
Fantasy Analysis
We had Miami on our Brett Favre Watch List when we originally prepared ourselves for another comeback. They came in number four.
If this holds any weight, Favre could actually be walking into a nice situation. He’d have a stud number one receiver in Brandon Marshall, a great slot receiver in Davone Bess, a sound offensive line, and a running game with potential.
Unfortunately, he’d go up against the New York Jets and New England Patriots twice each, which might not bode well for his NFL or fantasy football prospects. Regardless, Favre is still a better option than Henne or Moore, and Tony Sparano needs to win now. Stay tuned.
