Browns Trade With Vikings For Third Overall Pick

On ESPN’s NFL Draft coverage, Adam Schefter announced that the Cleveland Browns have traded with the Minnesota Vikings for the No. 3 pick. According to Schefter via his Twitter account, the Vikings will get the Browns first round pick at No. 4, as well as their fourth, fifth, and seventh round picks.
The Browns are making this trade to play it safe and ensure that they get running back Trent Richardson. Talks of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers trading the Vikings for the rights to draft Richardson were heating up, and likely scaring the Browns in making the trade.
It is a smart move for the Vikings, who, at No. 4, can still draft either of their top two players–cornerback Morris Claiborne and tackle Matt Kalil.
