Dallas Clark Signs With The Tampa Bay Buccaneers
With the news coming earlier that Kellen Winslow has outstayed his welcome, Aaron Wilson via Scout.com is reporting that, Dallas Clark and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have reached a deal.
Clark had just two workouts with the Bucs and the Patriots, and just over a month ago, there were people in the industry talking about how Clark is likely done and should retire, well he proved them wrong by this news. Clark should earn a deal around $3 million per season, and it would likely be just a one-year deal.
He finished last season with the Indianapolis Colts on the IR, his second straight season being placed on the IR with a season ending injury. Clark finished with 427 receptions, 4,887 receiving yards, and 46 touchdowns in nine seasons in Indianapolis.
Quarterback Josh Freeman should benefit greatly from the signing of Clark, as did Peyton Manning in Indianapolis. Dallas Clark should be considered a solid No. 2 fantasy TE worth a late pick in drafts. Injury is a concern here, but a late pick could pay off with some red-zone touchdowns.
