Michael Vick to Be Ready for Season Opener

Michael Vick owners in fantasy football, do not fret. Vick will be ready for the season opener on September 9th against the Cleveland Browns.
At least so says Andy Reid, who made it clear that there was “no question” Vick would be ready after taking a hard hit to the ribs from Patriots defensive end Jermaine Cunningham earlier in the week.
The preseason has been a worrisome one for Michael Vick, the Philadelphia Eagles, and Vick fantasy owners after he left the first preseason game with an injury to his throwing hand after hitting it on center Jason Kelce’s helmet after a pass.
X-rays were negative on the hand, and Vick would start the second exhibition game against the Patriots, only to throw one pass before taking the hit from Cunningham which knocked him out of the game. X-rays were also negative on his ribs, which is great news.
I’m inclined to believe that had the game counted, Vick would have been back out on the field against the Patriots, but during the preseason there is simply no rush to get him back out.
The issue here is whether or not Vick can stay healthy throughout the entire season. Since making his comeback to the NFL, he has yet to start a full 16 games, missing three in 2011 and four in each of 2010 and 2009. We know that he is a fantasy football machine, but he is also one of the most knocked down quarterbacks in the league.
While most fantasy football enthusiasts have Michael Vick as a top 10 fantasy option, I currently have him ranked at 11 as I am simply not confident that he can play for an entire season.
More good news is that it seems that third round rookie quarterback Nick Foles out of Arizona has had a surprisingly solid set of drives when stepping on the field. Foles saw his first action of the season with the first string offense after Vick was taken out of the game and went 18 of 28 passing for 217 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
Foles is currently ranked 38th in my quarterback rankings.

Gotta good one about 3 minutes away. It truly is in Vernon Hills, IL; it’s called, “Pizza Italia,” and it rocks according to at least just one Chicago native.
I have not checked in here for a while because I thought it was getting boring, but the last several posts are really good quality so I guess I will add you back to my daily bloglist. You deserve it my friend.
