Adrian Peterson Ready to Carry a Full Load?

After the Minnestoa Vikings‘ OT win over Jacksonville Sunday, any lingering concerns regarding running back Adrian Peterson were forgotten in a hurry. Peterson was a game-time decision going into Sunday’s game after suffering a torn ACL the end of last season and speculation for a week 1 status was anyone’s guess. Peterson started and turned in a fantastic performance.
Personally, I was truly surprised that Peterson suited up, never mind played. A torn ACL is no joke to come back from. All offseason reports had him working hard and on track but it seemed like too much of a risk for a franchise running back. All Peterson did was rush 17 times for 84 yards and 2 TD’s. He also looked way beeter than expected. He looked agile and nimble; basically he looked like…well….Adrian Peterson.
I have to admit that I was so concerned about Peterson’s injury that I left him off my draft board. I had three opportunities and passed. Not feeling so hot about that decision now, but only time will tell. Those of you who did take the chance and played him were rewarded handsomely in week 1. You now should be prime to just let him keep that RB1 slot week in and week out. Congrats to all you Peterson owners! You may have gotten quite a steal!
Fantasy Analysis
No doubt to just ride AP every single week. He looks fantastic. Just remember that with any injury history there lies the higher element of risk in reinjury. Keep those fingers and toes crossed at all times! Also, while Peterson looks to be back, it’s advised to handcuff Toby Gerhart to him if you’re able.

Its appropriate time to make some plans for the future and it is time to be happy. I have read this post and if I could I want to suggest you some interesting things or tips. Perhaps you could write next articles referring to this article. I desire to read even more things about it!
Thank you for the sensible critique. Me and my friend were just preparing to do a little research on this. We grabbed a book from our local library but I think I learned more from this post. I’m very glad to see such magnificent info being shared freely out there.
