Hakeem Nicks to be Ready For Week One?
Hakeem Nicks may not be such an injury risk, after all. According to Ralph Vacchiano via Twitter, the New York Giants star wide receiver will run routes during practice on Tuesday, and is still “on target” to start against the Dallas Cowboys in week one.
Nicks is recovering from foot surgery after breaking his foot at OTAs earlier this off-season. If Nicks would be unable to play in week one, rookie Reuben Randle or veteran Domenik Hixon would take his place in the starting lineup.
It looks like Nicks is well on his way to recovery, and knowing his determination, I won’t bet against him being healthy and ready to take on the Cowboys in week one. I’m still not fully ready to bump him up in my fantasy rankings, but he’s still a borderline top-10 option, regardless.
