Tim Tebow Trade Rumors | New York Jets Interested in Tebow?
With the Peyton Manning era set to begin for the Denver Broncos, the speculation of where Tim Tebow could land now heats up.
According to Adam Schefter via Twitter, the New York Jets have thrown around the idea of trading for Tebow. Although Schefter considers it a long-shot, we can now add the Jets to the list that have inquired about the current Bronco, which also includes Jacksonville, Green Bay and Miami.
New York might be a challenging spot for Tebow to land, considering how the media likes to bash its players, but the idea might not be a bad one. Current quarterback Mark Sanchez has garnered much criticism from the New York media and by adding Tebow would only accompany that. Think of it like last season, when Kyle Orton got off to a bad start and the Denver fans and media where calling for Tebow to step-in as the starter. It worked for Denver, however the AFC East is a much tougher division to play in.
The Jets were thought to be players for Peyton Manning, but as soon as they learned Manning didn’t want to play there, they quickly gave Sanchez a new five-year $68 million contract extension. I don’t see the Jets trading for Tebow, especially since Denver is reportedly looking for a 3rd round draft pick or better.
