NFL Draft Rumors: Bills Serious About Trading up For Matt Kalil?
The Buffalo Bills have been putting up some pre-draft smoke screens. First there were rumors about their interested in cornerback Stephon Gilmore. Then Michael Floyd. Then Mark Barron.
Now this Matt Kalil nonsense.
Except, it may not be nonsense, after all. According to Buffalo News, the Bills are serious about trading up to land USC offensive tackle Matt Kalil, and they might actually have a “good chance” at getting him.
Charley Casserly reported much the same last night, so it looks like this draft-day trade may have some legs, after all. Per reports, the Bills would send their number 10 overall pick and their 41st pick in the second round to the Minnesota Vikings, in return for the third overall selection.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and possibly the New York Jets to a lesser extent also still figure to be in the mix for the Vikings’ first-rounder, while we can’t rule out a last second surprise team.
The good news here is that if Buffalo does pull off the trade, most mock drafts will have survived one of the biggest trades that will go down on Thursday night’s 2012 NFL Draft.
