NFL Report: Dennis Dixon Out With Torn Meniscus
According to ProFootballTalk.com, Pittsburgh Steelers quarteback Dennis Dixon has torn his left meniscus, and will be out of action indenfinitely.
The injury prompted the Steelers to re-sign recently release quarterback Byron Leftwich, who could very likely become the new starter for the Steelers in week three. Charlie Batch is also a possibility to replace the injured Dixon.
Fantasy Dish: This is pretty big news in “who cares?” world, as Ben Roethlisberg will be back on the field in three weeks. If you drafted Big Ben late, congratulations, because you’re about to reap the benefits.
Batch or Leftwich will hold down the fort for two more games (Steelers have a bye in week five), and they ultimately will give way to the suspended Roethlisberger.
