Packers Close to Deal With Anthony Hargrove
Green Bay Packers general manager Ted Thompson is close to adding yet another free agent, which would be his second after a three-year absence in free agency.
Last Friday, the Packers signed center Jeff Saturday, and are meeting once again with defensive lineman Anthony Hargrove on Monday. Hargrove was in Green Bay visiting the team over the weekend, and has yet to visit any other teams.
Hargrove has played seven seasons in the NFL, accounting for 223 total tackles, 19.5 sacks and five forced fumbles. With the Packers are losing defensive lineman Mike Neal to a four-game suspension at the start of the season, Hargrove should be a solid substitute in the team’s 3-4 scheme.
