Patriots Cut Albert Haynesworth
According to Ian Rapoport via Twitter, the New England Patriots have officially released defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth.
Originally acquired via trade in the off-season from the Washington Redskins, Haynesworth reportedly wore out his welcome with the team following a sideline confrontation with defensive coach Pepper Johnson.
Haynesworth finished his time in New England with just three tackles and no sacks.
This isn’t that big of a shocker, as Haynesworth was doing nothing and was just a distraction, but it’s still big news. New England is cutting it’s losses with a wasted talent that doesn’t have the motivation to play hard anymore. Chad Ochocinco may not be too far behind.
