Patriots Deion Branch Ruled Out Against Broncos

Rotoworld.com reports that New England Patriots wide receiver Deion Branch (groin) has been ruled out for Week 15′s match-up against the Denver Broncos.

Branch left Week 14′s match-up against Indianapolis in the 4th quarter with his groin injury and has been limited in practice all week long.

Chad Ochocinco, who has been pretty much invisible all season long, could see more snaps, as well as Tiquan Underwood.

Shane Vereen, Patrick Chung, Sebastian Vollmer, and Brandon Spikes are also out.

Fantasy Analysis

Branch has been a solid Flex option for much of the season, albeit inconsistent. Without Branch, you can expect more targets for Aaron Hernandez, Wes Welker, and Rob Gronkowski.

It also seems that Danny Woodhead could be used a bit more out of the backfield and see more carries, but he’s not a reliable fantasy option.

Welker and the two tight ends are safe starts with Tom Brady throwing the ball around and should be utilized in every format.

Branch should return in Week 16, unless the Patriots decide to rest any starters if they can get a win in Denver on Sunday.
