Robert Griffin III Moves NFL Pro Day Up

Robert Griffin

Just a few days ago, it became common knowledge that both Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III would be sharing the same Pro Day on March 22nd.

Pro Day’s are extra performance days that allows prospects to be tested similarly to the NFL Combine. Players can do cone drills, 40 yard dashes, as well as interviews with scouts and much more, yet this time it happens at their home school.

The thought as of right now is that Andrew Luck is the #1 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. There hasn’t been anything this sure of a thing in years, at least not this early to the draft.

But RGIII is hoping to change that. One way is by moving his NFL Pro Day up by one day to avoid having the same day.

This will allow scouts to fly down to Waco, Texas to watch RGIII throw and perform drills on March 21st, while still being able to make the flight to Stanford, California later to see Andrew Luck perform on March 22nd.

The better RGIII performs and interviews, the more interested Colts owner Jim Irsay could get, although I still believe that Luck is going #1 overall barring a big injury in the coming months.

NFLSoup believes that no matter what Griffin will go #2 overall, likely by a trade from the Cleveland Browns or Washington Redskins.
