Sunday Night Football Fantasy Versus: Patriots vs. Ravens Preview

What could be the best game of Week 3 in the NFL, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots will travel to M&T Bank Stadium to take on the Joe Flacco led Baltimore Ravens. There were already three great early game that went into overtime thus far, and this game should also live up to the hype.
With both teams coming off of a loss in week 2, this could be a turning point in each teams season. More importantly you’re here for fantasy advice, and that’s what we are going to give you.
Here is our Fantasy Football Decision Maker for Sunday Night Football:
Quarterbacks
Tom Brady (Patriots) vs. Joe Flacco (Ravens)
The loss of Aaron Hernandez is a big blow for Tom Brady and the Patriots, but it’s not like he can play any worse than he has in the first two weeks. I’ve never liked Flacco as a quarterback, even when people were flaunting him as the next best thing since sliced bread after week 1.
I’m taking Tom Brady all day everyday.
Running Backs
Ray Rice (Ravens) vs. Stevan Ridley (Patriots)
New England has given up the 31st most points to running backs so far this season. They’ve showed they can stop the run, but this is Ray Rice we’re talking about and he can hurt you in more ways than one.
Ridley has looked good thus far, but I’m taking a back seat this week.
Ray Rice is the guy tonight.
Wide Receivers
Brandon Lloyd (Patriots) vs. Wes Welker (Patriots)
The chemistry is still not there yet with Lloyd and Brady and even though Welker seems to be in Bill Belichick’s dog house, he still has more potential from here on out.
Welker should rebound for a big game tonight.
Torrey Smith (Ravens) vs. Anquan Boldin (Ravens)
Torrey Smith (personal) was expected to be a game-time decision after flying back to be with his family after his brothers death earlier today. However, Smith is expected to start tonight after meeting the team a few hours ago.
You kind of have that feeling that Smith is going to have a big game after all that he’s been through today. I’ll roll with Smith.
Tight Ends
Rob Gronkowski (Patriots) vs. Dennis Pitta (Ravens)
Gronk is obviously the better fantasy tight end, but Pitta has caught 13 of the 24 passes thrown his way so far this season and has clearly overtaken Ed Dickson as the number one tight end.
You’re taking Gronk over Pitta this week, but I like both guys in week 3.
Kickers
Justin Tucker (Ravens) vs. Stephen Gostkowski (Patriots)
Both kickers should put up plenty of points tonight.
I’ll roll with Gostkowski, because I think the Patriots win tonight.
Team Defenses
New England D/ST vs. Baltimore D/ST
Baltimore is tied for the most points scored in fantasy this year, while New England ranks in the top 8 this season.
I do think this will be a close game with both offenses making some mistakes. You still have to roll with the Baltimore defense tonight.
