Sunday Night Football Fantasy Versus | Week 16
The Chicago Bears will travel to take on the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football in week 16. Four weeks ago this game looked like it could be one of the better match-ups on the week 16 schedule, but with Chicago losing four games in a row, it’s just not as important.
Green Bay might be looking to rest some of their starters if they get up big early in this game, but you really can’t factor that into your decision making. Chicago is all but out of the playoffs, but there are still a few fantasy players that can help your team out, with only two games left this week.
Here is Week 16’s Sunday Night Football Fantasy Versus to try and help you make those tough decisions:
Quarterbacks
Aaron Rodgers (Packers) vs. Josh McCown (Bears)
Rodgers is the obvious choice here. McCown will be making his first start for the Bears this season, after taking over for the recently benched Caleb Hanie. Even though Green Bay is not very good on defense this season, your still not starting McCown over Rodgers.
Running Backs
Kahlil Bell (Bears) vs. Ryan Grant (Packers) vs. James Starks (Packers)
Bell gets the starting nod for Chicago with Marion Barber out, and everyone knows you can’t trust Packers running backs when both Grant and Starks are healthy. With Starks back this week, I’m going with Bell out of these three.
Wide Receivers
Jordy Nelson (Packers) vs. Randall Cobb (Packers)
Cobb was the Packers receiver who benefited the most from Greg Jennings being out of the line-up last week and saw a team high 4 receptions. With that being said, you’re still going to go with Nelson in this game. Nelson should be considered a must start option.
James Jones (Packers) vs. Donald Driver (Packers) vs. Roy Williams (Bears) vs. Earl Bennett (Bears) vs. Dane Sanzenbacher (Bears)
If you’re in a super deep league and you need one of these players, Jones should be considered the safest bet. I’d rank them Jones, Driver, Bennett, Sanzenbacher, and Williams.
Tight Ends
Jermichael Finley (Packers) vs. Kellen Davis (Bears)
The Chicago Bears do not get their tight ends involved in the passing game, and Davis is considered a blocking tight end anyway. Even though Finley has not had the type of fantasy year many people predicted, you’re still going with Finley here.
Kickers
Robbie Gould (Bears) vs. Mason Crosby (Packers)
Even though Gould has made more field goals this season, Crosby is your guy here. The Packers will score more points and so should Crosby.
Team Defenses
Green Bay Packers D/ST vs. Chicago Bears D/ST
Chicago’s defense has scored the second most fantasy points this season, but can you trust them against the Packers? The answer is no you cannot. Chicago only had 6 fantasy points in the first game these two teams played and Chicago’s terrible offense is hurting their defense. Go with the Green Bay defense in this game.
