Thursday Night Football: Packers vs Bears Against the Spread Pick
Thursday Night Football makes it’s triumphant return in Week 2, as the (1-0) Chicago Bears will travel to Lambeau Field to take on the (0-1) Green Bay Packers. Aaron Rodgers and company will need to win this game in order not to be 0-2 and having both losses in the NFC, it will be a tough task tonight.
In their much anticipated game in week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers, the Packers were a 5 to 6 point favorite and lost straight up, 30-22. On the other side, Chicago was at times a 10 points favorite and they covered that game easily, as the won 41-21. Cantor Gaming, which puts out lines on every game before the season starts had this game at Green Bay -7.5, well now it has dropped to -4.5 after opening at -6 in favor of the Packers.

GREEN BAY -4 1/2 over Chicago
Initially I was on the Bears getting six points, and I actually picked them in our NFL Soup Week 2 Picks, but now that I’ve had more time to analyze this game, I really like the Packers giving the points.
Green Bay is a desperate team and can ill afford to start off their season at 0-2 after going 15-1 last season, while being upset in the playoffs by the future Super Bowl champs, the New York Giants. After getting punched in the mouth last week by the 49ers, I expect that head coach Mike McCarthy will have a solid game plan in place for tonight’s game.
Chicago struggled early on against the Colts in Week 1, but after finding their groove, Jay Cutler and friends were able to pull away in the second half. All of the offensive play-makers looked fantastic for the Bears, and should have good games once again tonight, but I think their average defense will be exposed against the prolific Green Bay offense.
Aaron Rodgers is 6-2 against the spread life time against the Bears. I’ll take the Packers -6, 30-25.
