Titans Wide Receiver O.J. Murdock Commits Suicide

Reports from the Tennessee Titans are that their wide receiver O.J. Murdock died Monday morning from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The Tampa Tribune reported Murdock was found outside his old high school in his car.
According to police, Murdock’s body was discovered on school property at 8:30am Monday morning. He was then transported to Tampa General Hospital, where he was listed as in critical condition.
Mjurdock failed to report to training camp last week. Head coach Mike Munchak said the player listed “personal reasons” for not showing up. Originally an undrafted free agent out of Fort Hays State in 2011, Murdock never played a game for the Titans and spent last season on injured reserve.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Titans organization and the Murdock family during this difficult time of mourning.
