Tony Romo Getting Close to Playing in Week 3

According to ESPN Dallas, Dallas Cowboys star quarterback Tony Romo‘s punctured lung has fully healed, and he has a chance to play on Monday Night Football in Week Three.

Owner Jerry Jones continued to say that the news did not guarantee Romo’s status, but that it was a good sign. The team also reportedly said Romo had been fitted with a special Kevlar vest to protect his cracked ribs. Backup Jon Kitna also said that he “fully expects” Romo to suit up this week.

Fantasy Analysis

It’s looking more and more like Romo will be a go this week, so tentatively slide him back into your starting lineups. He’s been on fire to start the season, although it should be noted that he’ll be without star wide receiver Miles Austin and possibly Dez Bryant.
