Virginia Tech RB David Wilson Entering NFL Draft

According to reports, Virginia Tech running back David Wilson will skip his senior season and declare for the 2012 NFL Draft.

Wilson reportedly received a second-round grade from the NFL Draft Advisory Board, and has a chance to be drafted higher if he comes anywhere close to the 4.29 40 time he ran as a freshman when he performs as the 2012 NFL Combine.

Listed at 5’10″ and 205 pounds, Wilson proved in 2011 that he can carry a full load, rushing for over 1,700 yards and nine touchdowns, while averaging nearly six yards per carry (5.89).

Wilson currently ranks as NFLSoup’s 31st best prospect on Keet Bailey’s 2012 Big Board.
