Washington Redskins Franchise Fred Davis

Fred Davis is going to be back in the nation’s capital for at least another year.

The Washington Redskins placed the franchise tag on the 26-year-old tight end on Friday, according to ESPN 980 via ProFootballTalk.com. With the tag, Davis will make $5.4 million in 2012.

Davis has spent his entire four-year NFL career with the Redskins and has totaled 131 receptions for 1,648 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was suspended for the final four games of last season due to failed drug tests.

The tagging of Davis almost certainly spells the end of the line for former starter Chris Cooley in Washington.

Hi would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with? I’m looking to start my own blog soon but I’m having a difficult time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S My apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
